Location: 115 University Ave East Waterloo

Welcome to the Creative Connection Lounge!  At this location, we provide a welcoming environment to socialize amongst friends and participate in activities of your choosing.  Activities will change daily and are based on the individuals attending.  Activities will occur at KWH sites as well as in the community.  The Lounge is open Tuesday 11:00 AM – 4:00 PM. If attending, please plan to arrive BEFORE 11:30 AM.  If a later drop off or pickup time is required, please contact Out and About Waterloo Region at 519-744-6307 ext. 1119.  We will try to accommodate late arrival requests; however, this is not guaranteed.

Someone who enjoys this Club is typically over 50. The space provides comfort and enjoyment, with activities tailored to their needs, abilities and interests.  This Club incorporates favourite, hobbies, music or activities into the program offering individuals choices throughout the day such as selecting the activity, game, or movie helping them feel more in control and able to share their gifts and talents.

This Club can provide:

• Support with daily living tasks like feeding and some personal care
• A slower-paced schedule with more in-house activities.

Session Activities include (activity fees are included):

• Singing and music therapy
• Baking
• Crafts, puzzles, games and bingo
• Celebrating theme days (e.g. holidays, birthday etc.)
• Organizing of and hosting social events inviting other individuals to participate to encourage socialization and a sense of community
• Trivia and Older TV shows
• Themed Celebrations
• Gentle outdoor activities including short walks, gardening, outdoor games or just enjoying the free air.
• Sensory/Snoezelen room
• And so much more!
